Tayson's Lamb

So... This year we decided it was good year for Tayson do raise an animal for the fair.  We choose lamb because that's all mom did growing up and could help him the best in raising it.  Karen's little boy Tanner did a lamb too.  Here Tayson is washing his lamb before it gets a trim to go to the fair.  My pictures I have are out of order, but you get the idea!!
He wouldn't look up at me.  His lamb's name was Rico and Tanner's was named Cocoa.  Tayson's lamb weighed in at 134 pounds and he took fourth in his class.  Pretty good for a first timer.  Brice actually bought his lamb, but we then sold it to the packer.
Giving it a good wash.  It was hard at first to feed it everyday and walk it and work with it.  We had some struggles and some fights, but in the end Tayson cried when he said goodbye to Rico.  We all got a little sad, we got attached even though Rico was a stubborn animal.
This picture should have been at the first, This is when they first got the lambs.  They were about two months old and Tayson is trying to put the halter on to feed them.
If only Rico would have looked up!!  Tayson learned alot about himself and raising an animal.  He said he wants to do it again, but me and Brice are still sitting on the fence on that decision!!

Roy Days Parade

We went to the annual Roy Days parade.  Brice was at home sick and sleeping so it was just me and the kids.  Me and Emilee did the royals walk and so she tagged along with me to the parade.  Sawyer had a great time this year.  She is trying to grab the camera while I take a picture.
Tayson was with Extreme Tumbling and Cheer float.  Ember could have ridden on the float but didn't want to.  Here she is enjoying the parade.
 How cute is this picture!!
Poppie and Gramby came too.  Tayson was getting a drink of water when the float went by and so we didn't even see him... Oh well, he had a good time and that's what is important.
