Happy Birthday to Tayson song!

Tayson is Four!!

June is one very busy month for us. Tayson turned four on June 19th and he got sick that morning. We are pretty sure he ate a bologna sandwich that had been in the sun for a little bit and that is what made him sick. Everyone still came over, but he just wasn't himself. Aunt Kenzie made him this awesome Thomas the train cake and he loved it!! Thank you, Aunt Kenzie. He wanted Geo Trax for is birthday, so we got him the Thomas version of it and he loves to have his remote control train. He is still trying to get over this sickness, so then he can start playing with his toys. We love you buddy, happy birthday.

Brice is 30!!!

Okay, here we go. Brice turned 30 on June 13th, along with Brad. Me and Kenzie threw them a surprise birthday party at Brad and Kenzie's house. I am a horrible liar and some how, Brice never picked up on anything until we were driving to Kenzie's house. We have been planing this party for months and we are so glad they were totally surprised. We had a luau theme, with leis and fruit drinks, and a cutout of what we all want to loook like. Brice and Brad leis were real flowers courtesy of Kenzie's sister. Most everyone was able to come, and we had a BBQ, and a volcano cake. I forgot to take a picture of it, but I did get it on the camcorder. I wish I could have taken a picture of them coming in, but I was how they both got there at the same time, so Kenzie got the surprised look pictures on her camera. Thanks to everyone who came. We had a blast.

The Utah Highland Games and Scottish Festival

Since it was my birthday on Saturday, I decided (last year) to go to the Scottish highland games at Thanksgiving Point. It was well worth the time and money! I loved every minute of it. It was really nice to be wearing my kilt and not be the only one doing so. I made a couple of videos that will show some of the things we saw. The first video is of the massing of the bands. At 12:00 all the bands got together and played. Can you guess what song it is?

I also made a couple of videos of one of the athletic events. It is called the Caber Toss. The idea is to get the really long pole to flip 180 degrees. As you can see from the video, they are really tall and very heavy.

Here is a picture of me near by the groups of bagpipe bands that were at the games competing.

It was lots of fun. We also found out they will be starting Scottish Festival in Cache Valley this year. Can't wait to go to that one!

And the Verdict is....

Well, we don't know the sex of the baby. We had the big ultrasound and the baby would not uncross its legs for anything. They tires to get the baby to move, but he or she refused. This is one modest baby. So, we won't know until October, surprise!!!
