Sawyer Jean Lythgoe

Here is Tayson and Ember with Sawyer in my belly.  This was on Sunday, June 8th.  I thought the next day I would be having her but she decided to come on June 11th instead!!  Tayson and Ember were so excited!
Here she is after she was born.  She weighed 10 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.  She was much bigger than anyone thought.   Even my doctor was shocked she was so big.  I had her the natural way, no c-section...  I went in on the the 11th and got started, which I am glad I did her being so big I was determined to have her on the 11th.  They got me all ready and the doctor broke my water at about 1:45 and I did not have much because she was so big.  After my water was broken I really started to have contractions.  I was all ready dilated to a 3 but was having a lot of braxten hick contractions.  The nurse at about 2:30 told me I could have an epidural when I was ready and by then I was ready for it..  After the epidural I was one happy girl.  By about 5:30 I told Brice I felt as if I needed to push and so I called the nurse in and she checked and I was to a ten and Sawyer's head was ready to come out.  They called Dr. Merrill and told be not to push and cross my legs until he got there.  He got there pretty quick and by 5:57 Sawyer Jean Lythgoe came in to the world.  I pushed through five contractions and she was out.  I was so determined to have her out, its probably why I only pushed for about twenty minutes!!
Here she is after being all cleaned up and wrapped up.
My sweet neighbor and friend Mindy took Tayson and Ember and then my mom had them and brought them up to the hospital.  Here are my mom and dad with Sawyer.
These two were so excited to meet their sister.  Ember was a little nervous because I was in a hospital gown and bed and it was a new place.  But by the time we went home, she had warmed up.
Tayson wanted to feed her so this is her first day home and Tayson was so excited to be the first one to feed her.  She is almost eight weeks old as I post this post.  She smiles at us now and makes noise.  Ember loves to smell her and Tayson is good at rocking her in her bouncer.  We bless her today on August 3rd.  Another post to follow.  We are so blessed to have Sawyer in our home.
