Okay, the middle picture should be at the end, but just roll with it!! Here she is all cleaned up. The nurses were having a hayday with Brice and taking all sorts of pictures with him. I let them take a few, but I am not going to put those on the blog, not very pretty ones of me. She weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. She has dark brown hair and her eyes are blue right now.
This picture is at home. My mom is holding her. She has been pretty sleepy, which was the opposite of Tayson. Thanks to Gramby, Grandma, Aunt Kenzie, Aunt Wendy, Gramillie, Aunt Amanda for the clothes. I was only prepared with two outfits, but we are prepared now. She is and eater. She latched on first try with no help. She was eating about two hours after she was born.
Here she is in the hospital box like thing. She did pretty good in it. They put some Halloween bows in her hair, they didn't last long. I went in for a doctors visit on Wed. and he told me I was at a two and fifty percent thinned. Dr. Woods than told me he would be surprised to see me next week, little did he know he would see me at 3:15 on Thursday. I saw the doctor at 4:30 and by seven o'clock I was having contractions, but nothing I couldn't handle. So we put Tayson to bed, I cleaned up, took a bath and went to bed. By eleven thirty the contractions were more regular, but I did not want to go to the hospital and have them send me home. But by 12:15 I told Brice we needed to go to the hospital. They checked me and I was at a four so I could stay. They asked me if I wanted an epidural and for about ten seconds I thought I could do it naturally, but then a contraction came and I knew I wanted an epidural. So by 2:30 I was doing good!! Dr. Woods came to check on me at 3:15 and I was at about a four close to a five and he told me would be back. About 3:30 they put me on pitocin cause I had been at a four for a couple of hours. Well, no one had checked me for two hours and finally at five thirty the nurse came to check me and I was a ten and Ember's head was ready to come out. She was so ready that she pushed my cathader out with her head!! They called Dr. Woods and he got there about 5:50 with just enough time to get ready and at 6:09 a.m. we welcomed Ember into the world!! A much shorter labor than with Tayson and I only pushed twice and out she came. We are so glad she is here and she is one sweet baby. Tayson is not so sure about her, but he will come around, I hope!! Thanks to everyone for your support and love. Thanks to everyone that has brought dinner and clothes!! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.
